Wow! I haven't been up here for awhile now. I guess I enjoy using tumblr more.

Anyways, Maggie’s back to school now but she’s only taking one class => illustration. The first project is a development book, which is a collection of the process of a story, including elements such as the characters, environment, costume and vehicles. Well I decided to modify one of the famous fairy tales by Anderson, The Little Mermaid. How does the story go? Well can’t tell you yet but I’ll show you a sneak peek of how my princess will look like..

For now, I’m just playing around with the hairstyle/her features. I want her to be a lushy type of girl…or fish?
Yes, I do realize 3 of those faces look really freaky @___@ and for some odd reason, most of the time when I draw their eyes, they’re just really far apart. Lol~

Well I don't have a proper one but now I'm using a charm as my pin cushion because I'm sick of losing them or dropping them on the carpet. I worry about stepping on them and the entire thing going through my foot @____@.

Yay! I managed to finish 4 dolls today...although I find the crafting can be pushed further but it was good warm up + exercise.

I'm back to making felt dolls =D It's so much fun! Right now my table is a mess but in an organized way that I know where the tools are. Although, I wish my respiration would tone down a bit though =___= Other than that, I'm glad that I've gotten the materials a month ago, hopefully, I'll be working faster after tonight's warm up.

During the winter break, I've been thinking about how to create the lunar new year card that I want to give out to all my family and friends. I couldn't stop making decisions in my head. Then came 2 weeks ago, I finally set down and made some doodles. But then it took me another week to finalize and feel confident with my design in order to execute everything on the computer. However, it's done now! I like it more than last year's!!

I made 34 cards and thanks to Nina's great corner puncher =] It came in very handy.

Concept behind this is: some Chinese greetings 大紅大紫 (big red, big purple)... it's hard to explain =P And since it's almost Valentine's day, the bunnies come in a pair <3

I actually did this awhile ago for my illustration class.

The concept of this is Sunterra runs as a team, they're the farmer, chef and grocer. I want to execute the figures in a playful but professional style so they have exaggerated gesture. Oh and they have really high quality pork~~ Gah~~

The concept came from how people don't really consider penguins are birds and I just thought they might want to get the taste of flying. Haha~ I've always wanted to fly home like this, on a paper plane that I built. =)
